Sun Java(TM) System Web Server

Sun Java(TM) System Web Server helps allow companies to react quickly to market demands by providing a high performance, highly scalable and flexible web server that delivers dynamic content to their web site(s). The virtualization of domains and robust security features in the Sun Java System Web Servers, Enterprise Edition 6.0 helps allow service providers and companies to provide a better quality of service to their customers. This important service helps ensure that companies can handle the massive volume demanded by successful web sites in the Net Economony and improve the management of their operations by lowering the cost of their infrastructure.

NOTE 1: For customers migrating from NES per server licenses to Sun Java System Web Server CPU licenses either under a support contract or as an upgrade: For every 2 CPUs of NES on a single server, the customer only pays for 1 CPU of Sun ONE Web Server . This may be applied to migration/upgrade to Sun ONE Web Server only.

NOTE 2: Sun Java System Web Server, FastTrack Edition is a FREE version of Sun Java System Web Server, based on Enterprise, that is ideally suited to the Java Development community for use as the development and test platform for web applications. CDs are primarily for promotion purposes and will not be readily available for customers or field personnel. Bits are available for download.

1. The order process remains the same as it is today. All eFulfillment parts have their own SKU numbers (aka Marketing Part Numbers). These will be booked just like any other part on the Sun pricelist is today. The confirmation emails and tokens are generated systematically by an internal process. No partner intervention is required. Please note that electronic ordering (EDI &B2B) is out of scope for EMEA. As product delivery is dependant upon receipt of the entitlement email, please note that the email address of the person downloading the product is required. Please include on the purchase order the name, address, e-mail, phone and fax number of the person who will be downloading the software. Sun will need it to send the confirming e-mail that contains the information to download the software. Delivery for eFulfillment products is recognized at the time the customer is sent their entitlement email for the purchase by Sun. This recognition occurs irrespective of the time when the customer actually downloads the software.
2. This electronic software download part number cannot be ordered with any packaged media kit part numbers for the same software version.

For US only: This electronic software download part number should not be ordered with any media kit part numbers for the same software version. If customers wish to order both part numbers for the same software version, then sales tax will be charged on the electronic software download license and media kit.
